Happy Chinese New Year 2024! Wishing you health, luck and prosperity for the year of the Dragon! Dragon art work created in Illustrator.
“Year of the Horse” personal artwork done in Flash/Illustrator.
Chinese New Year 2014 is the year of the horse, so I created this piece of artwork to celebrate the new year. I did not want to go with the traditional style and colors of Chinese New Year art; I was aiming more towards creating a piece of artwork that was intricate, technical and classic. Best colors to achieve that are my favorite 3 colors: black, white and red!
There was a lot of expression done in this artwork – instead of normally planning out what I wanted to do, I just went uninhibited and crazy. I added details that I thought looked good, pattern designs, blends, etc. The Chinese character of ‘horse’ is added on top in red to give it a small bit of color to contrast the black and white.
I just did whatever I felt was good and at the end, I created this piece of artwork which I think looks awesome. No plans on what to do with this just yet, I did create some art postcards and will send them out to people.

“PILOT YOUR FATE”, basically means you are in control of your own fate/destiny/future, so make sure you destroy all barriers and obstacles and achieve your goals!
“Dragon Vector Force” Gundam personal artwork done in Illustrator/Photoshop.
Some personal experimental artwork done using various techniques and effects, from vector 3D, shines and shadows. I’ve always been a big fan of Gundams and if those model kits didn’t take me so long to build, I would build a ton of them! So the next best thing would be to create my own “Dragon Vector Force” Gundam creation! If I had some more time, I would create a body for this head, but for now, I really like how this came out.
I’m not sure what to do with this design – would it look cool on a t-shirt? Limited edition prints? Maybe mod it some more and make stickers out of them? I have no idea, but if anyone out there likes it and can think of something cool to do with this, leave a comment and let me know!
I also created a design with the outlines in it – which one looks better?
“Dragon Audi R8” personal artwork done in Illustrator/Photoshop.
Have you ever seen a car that you like but could not afford, and always wanted to know how it would look like if you could paste your graphics on it? Well I have when I first saw the Audi R8 coupe – a definite beauty of a car.
There’s no way I could possibly own a car like that in my lifetime, so for fun, wanted to vector one up. This was done basically to see if I can do it, and how it would look with my “Year of the Dragon” design on it.
So this was the outcome – think it came out nice and clean! Hope you like it!
“Robot Kick!” personal artwork done in Illustrator/Flash/Photoshop.
Some personal experimental artwork done using various techniques and effects, from blends to halftones to shines. Wanted to see if I can create a robot that’s in an action pose, kicking ass!
“Koi” revised personal artwork done in Illustrator/Photoshop.
AW177 x Bad Applez "I'm a Bad Apple"
This is my custom creation for the "I'm a Bad Apple" onlinegroup custom show presented by Bad Applez Inc. Going live on February14, 2012 (Valentine's Day), the show will feature over 30 artistscustomizing 3"-5" plastic apples that were picked up at alocal craft shop.
My custom concept came from the idea of "sticking" good intosomething bad, or "throwing" some good into bad - I don'treally have a direct explanation for my piece, it's pretty much whatyou make of it. I wanted to try something new and different, something metaphoric: the apple is rotten and bad and the shuriken isgold and good.
The shuriken has the Chinese character of "good" on it (bothsides) and the apple has the word "bad" on it (both sides, hard to see).
The apple was pretty light (made of plastic/Styrofoam), I decided toweigh it down by cutting it in half and filling it w/ a little SuperSculpey. The shuriken was made from Super Sculpey as well. Spraypaint was used for color.
The show will be hosted at www.badapplezinc.com and every piece will be up for sale.
